The talented team at The Design Collective have announced a new open-air twilight food and produce market. The first Eat Make Grow Markets will be held on April 15 (Easter Saturday), and is set to become a regular seasonal event. The market site is located in The Sunland Group’s The Lakes Residences in Mermaid Waters (you know, the giant 42-hectare site where Bermuda Street meets Hooker Boulevard), which will become a significant urban landmark for the Gold Coast. Part of the masterplanned community will be a leisure/lifestyle retail village called The Lanes, featuring a market square, retail spaces and dining venues, which is due for completion in 2021. So, to pave the way for what’s to come in a few years time, The Lanes site will transform into regular foodie hub, with the Eat Make Grow markets to feature food stalls and trucks, a farmers market and makers market (so locals can buy fresh produce by night) plus live cooking demonstrations using local produce, crafts markets, artist displays, live music and family-friendly entertainment. We’re pretty excited for this one. We’ll keep you posted with the finer details for the first market on
April 15.

Live cooking demonstrations using local produce. A farmers and makers market, street food vendors and trucks from QLD and Northern Nsw, handmade and vintage stalls + a huge kids activity area for that family friendly atmosphere.
The Gold Coast food market ‘Eat Make Grow’ will increase opportunities for makers and growers to sell during the twilight hours so families can shop fresh produce at night.
The market will also showcase live music and talented performers for that true community relaxed vibe.
